Clearly Perfect

I love the music selection ;) Personally, I do think this is a worthwhile project to continue with. It's pretty well done, and even though it's part of a pretty stuffed genre (stick fights), you do it well, and I would actually like to see a finish.

If I may recommend not using frame by frame if you do finish it though? While you clearly do frame by frame great, 770 frames for 30 seconds of stick fight might be pushing it. At that rate, it might take you a year to finish. All in all though, this is a great start to a finished product man. 5/5. 10/10.

Not bad man

Pretty good job dude. You did a pretty good job streamlining a complex plot. The art wasn't stunning but it did the job. The biggest problem with this I had was the same as the other reviewers. The audio could use some major improvement. Perhaps ask for a voice actor on the BBS or something? In any case, I don't want to mark you down too much for the audio, because I can tell you put a lot of effort into doing this flash.

It wasn't professional by any means, but it was very good for someone still starting out in flash. good job, and good luck on future projects man.

I'm not really feeling this all that much man. I like that it seems to be pretty well done, but it really is too short and has no mentionable plot. I like the idea of the pellets in pac man being some sort of drug, but perhaps do a little research of what drug comes in pellets or pills, and include pac man seeing the effects the drug has? Ecstasy would probably work well for this joke.

I really like the idea, but it just isn't entertaining in its current form, and needs more before it can be very good. Good luck though man.

Awesome

I love the little speech bubbles for the guy, and the premise of the player being a game designer is funny to me especially, because of people constantly saying 'your games too hard' and giving me a 1 for it.

That being said, the mechanics are very sound, but I found it a little awkward to reach back and click the mouse again before the guy hit the ground. Nothing huge, it just took a little getting used to. I think that while the game got the 'one more try' feeling down pat, it did get a little repetitive. I love that you built an RPG system into a game like this though, brilliant. Again, with it clear that the game is designed for more than 30 seconds of play, there should be something else to do.

All in all though, this is a fantastic game, and I'm rather impressed. You're a great game designer, and this one's a winner.

Personally, I don't like dress up games at all, but it's good to see someone trying to do something new with the genre. It was original for what type of game it was.

The sprites all looked good, and there were a lot of options to chose from. However, it wasn't all that entertaining. I also think a mute button would have been a great addition to this submission, because I hate having to go and mute my music and adjust my computer's volume when I start a submission.

There isn't too much I could recommend to improve this submission, it was technically sound, but I just didn't like it all that much.

Could be better.

Honestly, I loved the idea of this game a lot more than the execution. While it's simple, and fun to play, it does get boring very quickly, even before you finish a round. While I love the idea of a psychedelic game, I think yours needs far to much activity to keep it going. Most people interested in a trippy game arn't in much of a state to want to click continuously to keep it going.

I suggest making it so that the design of the spiral changes when you click or something. Basically make it more trippy when the user clicks on it, and make it so you can't fail. This would really be more appealing to people interested in trippy games. I understand that would turn it into more of a gadget than a game, and that may not be the road you want to go down, but it's just a suggestion, you don't have to take it.

As is, it's a decent mini game that takes a few minutes of my time. Good, but nothing spectacular. It has potential though. The novel idea scores it quite a few extra points than it might have gotten were it not trippy.

Hadn't got around to a review.

I just wanted to let you know I thought this has been one of the best songs on newgrounds since I heard it first. We actually used it in out game, and I have it on my ipod too :).

As for the actual critique of the piece, I love how you kept a pretty consistent beat throughout. Someone could really move to the song throughout the entirety of it; which is something I think a lot of music does poorly during transitions. I also loved how you managed to keep the song sounding fresh without digressing too far from the original beat. The finish was also quite well done.

If there's any criticism I could give the song, it would be that the beginning seems a bit generic. There's nothing that really forces you to listen until about 1:30.

Overall a fantastic song man. I love how casual this song was uploaded too. It makes me think your other stuff is going to be even better. Good luck man.

Fantastic Again

I like the start a lot. It has great rhythm and the wah wah bit just before the real start to the song is great too. I like the main beat a lot, maybe the drums are a little too complex at first but around one minute it comes together and sounds orgasmic.

The second wah wah sounds good too, but honestly, I love the main beat the most. It's a really foot tapping one that just sounds great. I think it could be improved a little with some more variation on the second time around with the main beat. Or at least make it longer and include the variations later. It's a solid start to a genius song, but since it's so short you'll just have to settle for amazing ;) Keep up the great work guys.

The start is fantastic. A sort of mix between rock and techno, what with the guitar in there. The song was well layed out, and progressed nicely. I do think it got a little repetitive at points, and some of the riffs weren't that impressive, and I thought that it could use a little more in the way of effects, but that's it for criticism.

the concept of the song was great. no one mixed an electrical guitar doing rock beats into their techno. Brilliant. It had a nice rhythm, but again it just got a little repetitive over time. more and different fills on the drums, different effects... sorry, i know I said no more criticism, but it's so close to being a great sound. I think that might just be it. Everything about this song screams good, and with just some few tweaks it could be great.

the fact that I gave a decent amount of criticism is not because it's a bad song, but because it's close to being a great song, and what could be changed is what could make it go from good to great, and I hope you know that I really do like the song man. Good luck in future musical endeavors dude.

Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate the criticism. We made the drums and effects very simple in order to not overwhelm the melodic parts, which are usually so easily overwhelmed (especially in techno) by heavy crazy drum lines and effects. The purpose of this piece was the melodies going from guitar to keyboard back and forth the whole piece. Believe me when I say that we DO add a lot of effects/drums in our pieces, which most of them get deleted in the final phase because too many drums/effects always overwhelm the melodies and that's not our purpose.
